Advertising your keyword on the Web

Social media and web presence are a good way to attract more participants to join your text messaging list. Since text messaging is such a personal and direct way the CTIA and MMA (Mobile Marketing Governing bodies) have created a set of requirements. These requirements protect you and your clients from spammers. Below is a list of items to include when you are promoting your keyword on the web.

Web Advertising MUST include:

a) Additional carrier costs (Msg&Data Rates May Apply)

b) A resource (such as a website or phone number) where subscribers can reference all terms and conditions.

c) The frequency of the messaging

d) Instructions for obtaining help (HELP)

e) Instructions for obtaining Opt-Out information

f) HELP and STOP information must be in bold typeface in order to stand out for the users

g) If the program is recurring, instructions on cancelling or opting-out of the service must be included. If the program being advertised is nonrecurring, then STOP messaging is not required.

Below is the language that we use on our website in order to stay compliant. Feel free to use it for your website as needed.
